Dropin

Privacy Policy

Information Collected

The developer of Dropin does not collect any information about you through the app. Dropin has no accounts, analytics, or ads.

Dropin stores the following information only on this device and does not sync it.

Check-ins are saved as events in your calendar. Whether they sync across your devices depends on the settings of that calendar’s account (such as iCloud).

Stored information remains until you delete it as described in “Deleting Your Data.” It may also be included in your device backups.

If you turn on Share With App Developers, the developer may receive crash logs and diagnostic information from Apple. Apple provides this information in a form that doesn’t identify you. It is used to fix bugs.

Information Sent Outside the App

To search for places, Dropin sends the following information to Apple Maps.

Apple Maps may also receive your IP address. This information is not sent to the developer and is handled in accordance with Apple’s Privacy Policy.

Permissions

Without calendar access, you cannot check in. Without location access, you can still check in from your place history or by entering a place name. You can change these permissions at any time in the Settings app.

Deleting Your Data

Contact Form

Messages you send using the contact form on the Support page are received by the developer. The form has no fields for your name, email address, or other contact information. The developer uses these messages to improve the apps and does not share them with third parties except as required by law. Messages that are no longer needed are deleted. Because the form can’t identify who sent a message, individual messages can’t be deleted after they are sent.

Because the form uses Google Forms, messages you send are also handled in accordance with Google’s Privacy Policy.

This policy may change. Changes take effect when they are posted on this page.
